A Special Thank You from APK Charities
Dear Friends of APK Charities,
We are so grateful to all who were able to be part of the APK Charities 2nd annual APK 5K, 5K Ruck March and Kids Fun Run in November. The event drew nearly 500 runners and Ruck Marchers from all over Connecticut and the Northeast.
We are so very thankful to all of our sponsors and supporters who made this event possible. We also would like to thank our emcee for the race, Renee DiNino, Director of Community Affairs On Air Programming for iHeart Media and 105.9 FM, The River in Connecticut.
The APK Charities Corporation is a Connecticut non-profit 501(c)(3) / Tax ID 46-5456912. With your help, APK Charities netted $38,000 from the APK 5K, 5K Ruck March and Kids Fun Run. All proceeds benefited the Fisher House, West Haven VA, the Special Forces Charitable Trust, the Connecticut Trees of Honor Memorial, and Honor and Remember, Inc. Connecticut. In addition, the Ruck March netted over 2,000 pounds of non-perishable food items, all donated to the St. George Catholic Church food pantry in Guilford, CT. Your generosity is deeply appreciated and helps to honor the memory and legacy of our beloved son, CPT Andrew M. Pedersen-Keel.
If you missed the opportunity to contribute to our mission, please click the “Donate” button above to help us continue providing the American public an awareness of our military, and supporting America’s active, retired, wounded and fallen warriors.
Andrew, affectionately called “PK”, would be so pleased to see our military personnel and our civilian population sharing this special event. We hope we will see more people join us next year for the 3rd annual APK 5K/Ruck March and Kids Fun Run on Saturday, November 5, 2016 in Madison/Guilford, CT.
On behalf of our Board of Directors, we remain forever inspired by the generosity and patriotism of the American public. As we remember our fallen we honor the sacrifices made and the continuing pain of so many American families.
Very Respectfully,
Helen and Bob Pedersen-Keiser
