Bob and Helen Met Gary Sinise!

Bob and Helen were invited guests of the West Point Association of Graduates. As such, they attended the Thayer Award ceremonies honoring Gary Sinise. They met Mr. Sinise and took this photo with him.

About Gary Sinise

Gary Sinise is an actor most known for his rolls in Ransom (1996), Apollo 13 (1995), and Forrest Gump (1994). His portrayal of Lt. Dan Taylor in Forrest Gump is probably his most notable role. The role was made for him. He has been an advocate for servicemen since the 1980s. In the 1990s, he began working on behalf of the Disabled American Veterans organization. After 9/11, Gary began his support for active duty defenders, veterans and first responders.

From his bio at www.garysinisefoundation.org:

His portrayal of Lt. Dan Taylor in the landmark film Forrest Gump formed an enduring connection with servicemen and women throughout the military community.

Helen and Bob are grateful for Gary’s generosity in time and funds as an advocate for US servicemen. It was an honor to meet him.
