Dog Walk 2022

Dog Walk 2022 is a family-friendly, free art FUNdraiser twelve (12) canines creatively painted by local artists and sponsored by businesses to benefit charitable organizations directly. The painted dogs can be seen at the Westfarms Mall in West Hartford, CT from Dec. 7, 2022 through Dec. 31, 2022.

“Major” benefits APK Charities, Inc., painted by Brian Wziontko. Brian’s work can be found on Instagram @b_chunko_art

Brian’s Artist Statement:

The thought behind my design felt fitting for APK Charities, an organization that raises awareness and support for our active, retired, wounded, and fallen warriors and their families. Service dogs are trained to help veterans who have disabilities. More importantly, they are trained to mitigate the symptoms of PTSD by providing emotional support. The patches on the dog are typical of a veteran service dog, but the “PK” patch pays homage to Captain Andrew “PK” Pedersen-Keel, the fallen soldier for whom APK Charities was created.

APK Charities is a non-profit organization raising funds for the APK Direct Assistance Program and APK Endowment Fund in loving memory of Captain Andrew Pedersen-Keel, Special Forces.
