Registration for the APK 5K Now Open

Registration for the APK Charities inaugural APK 5K, 5K Ruck March and Kids Fun Run are now open. Click here to register online. You’ll be brought to a new webpage at Ratrace Timing where you can register and pay for the event online.

All proceeds of this year’s race will benefit CT Trees of Honor Memorial in Middletown, the Fisher House-West Haven, and The Special Forces Charitable Trust.

The race takes place entirely within Hammonasett State Park and follows a certified, flat, picturesque route. Access to the park is free and there will be plenty of opportunities for spectators to watch participants. Besides a 5K Run, there is also a 5K Ruck/Walk and a Kids Fun Run. Race Day Schedule

08:00 am Last time for in-person registration and packet pick-up
09:30 am Kids Fun Run
10:00 am 5K Run and 5K Ruck/Walk start
11:30 am Post Race Party

Entry Fees

5K Run – $25 ($30 on race day)
5K Ruck/Walk – $25 ($30 on race day)
Kids Fun Run – $10

Long sleeved t-shirts will be given to all run participants and ruck/walk participants and short sleeve shirts will be given to kids participating in the Kids Fun Run. (Limited to first 300 registrations.)

Awards

Awards will be presented to top 3 finishers in each age group for the 5K. Age groups are Men and Women as follows: 12 and under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+

In addition, the first and second place male and female finishers in the 5K and Ruck March will receive gift certificates to soundRUNNER.

Advanced registration closes on November 6, 2014 at 8:00 PM. No rain date, entry fees are non-refundable.
