Brian’s Birdies for APK Charities
This week will be the thrill of my professional golfing career to play and represent Longmeadow Country Club in the PGA Tour Travelers Championship at the TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, CT. The tournament will be held Thursday, June 22th – Sunday, June 25th.
While this is an incredible opportunity for me to play at the highest level against the best players in the world (DJ, Rahm, Mickelson, Dechambeau, Koepka just to name a few), this also provides me a chance to do something that can benefit those that have dedicated their lives to our country and help a charity that is extremely close to me and my family. APK Charities was created in memory of my step-brother Captain Andrew Pedersen-Keel, a US Army Green Beret who was killed in action 11 March 2013 in Afghanistan.
I will donate $100 for each birdie I make throughout the event with a minimum donation of $1000. I’m asking for your support of this cause and if you would like to donate to APK Charities, please use the “New Registration” link below and complete the registration form. Your donation amount will be the selected amount (or custom amount) in the registration multiplied by the number of birdies I make this week. At the conclusion of the tournament, I will follow up directly with each member that has committed to donate to APK Charities.
If you have questions please email [email protected].
All monies donated to Brian’s Birdies will be held by APK Charities Corporation (www.apkcharities.org) and will be directed to the APK Direct Assistance Program (DAP) that provides direct financial assistance and other support services to Connecticut active-duty Military, Gold Star Families, Veterans and their families of all branches of the US Armed Forces.
APK Charities provides financial support to these individuals or families requiring:
- Medical emergency relief (e.g. treatment costs, rehabilitation support)
- Emergency assistance relief (e.g. heat, fuel, housing costs)
- Hardship assistance (e.g. mortgage, job loss, major medical costs)
HOW TO DONATE: At the conclusion of the tournament, I will post on this page the amount of birdies I made in the Travelers Championship. I will follow up directly with each person that has committed to donate to APK Charities.
If you would like to donate to APK Charities via Brian’s Birdies for APK Charities, please click on the “Donate” button directly above. Then, multiply the number of birdies I make by the amount you’d like to donate per birdie. (For example, if I make ten (10) birdies and you donate $50 per birdie, your donation will be $500.) Thank you.
