Bataan Memorial Death March Campaign

“We’re the Battling Bastards of Bataan”

A March to Memorialize the Brave Soldiers of 1942 and to Honor Captain Andrew Pedersen-Keel

On April 9, 1942, 75,000 United States and Filipino soldiers fighting together during WWII surrendered to Japanese forces after months of battle. The soldiers were deprived of food, water, and medical attention and were forced to march to confinement camps throughout the Philippines. They marched for days…approximately 65 miles…through the scorching jungles of the Philippines. Thousands died. Those who survived faced the hardships of prisoner-of-war camps and the brutality of their Japanese captors.

Today, the Bataan Memorial Death March is a challenging 26-MILE MARCH WITH A 35-POUND RUCK through the high desert terrain of the White Sands Missile Range, memorializing the march of those brave soldiers in 1942. APK Charities has recruited 20 men (4 teams of 5 listed below) to participate in honor of the brave soldiers of 1942 and to honor Captain Andrew Pedersen-Keel’s tenacity, courage, and grit. NEVER FALTER. NEVER QUIT. Learn more about how your donations help the veteran community.

Three brothers…Matt, Rob, and Jake Hubert have formed three wonderful teams, with five participants in each team…to march in this year’s Bataan Memorial Death March at the White Sands Missile Range in White Sands, New Mexico. While marching, they’ll simultaneously be raising donations to benefit APK Charities.

Designed specifically for the 2023 Bataan Death March in New Mexico in March, Nine Line Apparel created limited edition garments to honor the memory of the heroic American service members who defended the Philippine Islands during World War II. These limited edition shirts are only available for a limited time and sales will close on February 27th.
